Full itinerary

Your driver will await you at the back of This is Holland. Within 15 minutes, we have left the busy city center of Amsterdam behind.

The day starts off in one of the most famous polders of the Netherlands with tulip fields as far as the eye can see. Take your time to take some great pictures.

Passing more colorful tulip fields, windmills, cows, meadows, ditches, dikes and idyllic landscapes we make our way to the world famous Enclosing Dike. This dam connects the two northern provinces and protects half of the country against the force of the sea. It’s also the gateway to the Amsterdam Lake District.

Time to explore this dam! Find out why it’s so important, walk across to see the Wadden sea, climb the monument (a watch tower looking out across both the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea), or take a picture with its founder, Mr. Lelie.

Then we enter the Amsterdam Lake District, located in the province of Friesland. Next up is a picturesque village. Make sure your camera’s ready to capture the sights! Meet the villagers and travel back in time with a captain or hs wife as your local guide. A typical Dutch lunch will await you at the restaurant (included in the tour).

After lunch, it’s time for another typical Dutch highlight. We will visit a traditional Dutch windmill where you will meet the miller.

After this unique visit it is time to visit more colorful tulip fields. Every day we look for the most beautiful fields! Tulips only bloom for a couple of weeks each spring, so strike a pose, say cheese, and take plenty of pictures.

Once the afternoon draws to a close, it’s time to head back to Amsterdam to enjoy your evening in the city.
